De la Sulina la Sfântul Gheorghe...

A 17-year old high school kid decides to study medicine. His first self-imposed endurance tests are described. They include unearthing an adrenalin-oozing, spitting frog with his bare hands, resisting mosquitos in the Danube Delta and crossing the fine-sand, 20 miles long beach between two mouths of the largest European River in a single day. The year is 1974 AD, and border guards seize him while he bathes at midday, on his way south. He still manages to reach the city of Sfântul Gheorghe, where no automobiles exist in the fine-sand filled “ streets ”. In the “ living happily thereafter ” happy-end, he dreams of underwater mysteries and gloriously bathes again in the beautiful sunset.
