Experimental Trans-iridial Light Therapy (TiLT) Devices are used for Studies in the Alternative Biologic Effects of Light (ABEL). Alternative Biologic Effects of Light ( ABEL ) are operationally defined as biological effects of light studied with the scientific method in holistic approaches to health – like acupuncture, Chinese Medicine at large, chronobiology and iridology. The fact that current interest of the scientific community is exclusively focused on “ big science ” is not diminutive for the values of thorough consideration, larger contexts and paradigm shifts implied by the many alternative and “ natural ” approaches to health issues, in any way. Trans-iridial Light Therapy ( TiLT ) consists in stimulation of discrete iris stromal areas with collimated visible light, by using devices designed to offer targets which are positionally and temporally precise.
