Is Beauty of the Human Eyes Functionally Meaningless? Probably not. Understanding pathways of light that link health and the iris is key to the answer. And yet, searching for significance inside and around such precious gems as the ones continuously moving inside the eyes of most vertebrates is resolutely puzzling. What's in an eye...? “ T'is no arm, no hand, nor any other part belonging to a man ”. And yet, all that's seen inside the eye is surely nothing else but the iris of the eye. Due to the transparency of the ocular media, the iris of the eye is the only living organ which can be seen by everybody, in vivo, with no need for special instruments, no dead tissue in-between, no artificiality. What this twelve year old project meant to study from the beginning was the remarkable interdependence between the individual's biological rhythms, health status and the image of the individual's iris. Obvious diagnostic and therapeutic approaches ensued. Now, with most of the methodological work being completed, the objective becomes clear : It is mandatory to help increase our awareness of the larger significance of medical and complex studies of the iris. Firm optimism is justified that iridial studies will contribute to the perception of harmony in this world.
